The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption helps immigrant soldiers and their families in the following:
Assistance in the absorption of the immigrant soldiers into the I.D.F.(Israel Defense Force).
Explanatory meetings with the new enlistees and their parents.
Increased awareness of immigrant absorption in the I.D.F. via meetings with commanders in all military units.
Participation in special military programs for immigrants operated by the IDF.
Supplying of information to the enlistees and officers concerning assistance to immigrants during their army service.
• Preparation of young candidates for IDF service
• Provision of information to draftees and the command staff on assistance to immigrants during military service.
Support for mechina courses prior to discharge from the army - courses are run by the I.D.F. for all soldiers, including new immigrants.
Encouragement of assistance and adoption programs for "lone soldiers".
