Additional Types of Ulpanim

 Bayit Rishon BaMoledet: offers possibility of living on a kibbutz for the first six months after immigration while studying in an ulpan. Information on this program may be obtained at Bayit Rishon BaMoledet, 25 Hanevi'im Street, Tel Aviv, Tel: 03-5280068.

 Kibbutz Ulpan: Kibbutzim offer ulpanim for young adults aged 17-25, which combine Hebrew study with work on the kibbutz in one of the sectors. Information on kibbutz ulpan can be obtained from the Jewish Agency website, or for those in Israel, from Jewish Agency Information Centers..

 Student Ulpan: These ulpanim are run by the Student Authority. Details can be obtained at district offices of the Student Authority.

 Ulpan for Pensioners: Men age 65 and up, and women age 60 and up. The length of study in an ulpan for pensioners is unlimited, and participants pay a symbolic fee.

 Supplementary Ulpanim: In various cities, there are supplementary ulpanim for those who have completed the basic ulpan.

Supplementary ulpanim are generally held in the evening. Immigrants must pay their own tuition fees for these classes. In addition, there are supplementary ulpanim are also held for members of the medical and paramedical professions.
Supplementary Ulpanim for Caucasian (Kavkazian) olim have been established in localities with concentrations of these olim. The instructors are also immigrants from Caucasus (Kavkaz) who have been trained in Hebrew language instruction.

 Vocational Ulpanim: Employment Guidance Centers also adds studies to reinforce knowledge of the Hebrew language. Ulpanim are designed for members of various vocations: medical and paramedical, technological professions.

 Second Chance Ulpanim: designed for immigrants who have been in Israel for up to 10 years and who encounter everyday difficulties in the Hebrew language: speech, writing, comprehension, language issues. The studies take place in 30-hour modules, mainly in the evening. Tuition is nominal and is paid for by the immigrant.

 Additional Ulpanim: Private ulpanim are given by language institutes, universities, immigrant organizations, etc. The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption has no connection with these ulpanim.
