Purchasing an El Al flight ticket

The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption has reached an agreement with El Al Airlines to grant benefits to Israelis returning to Israel via El Al.

El Al undertakes to grant a fixed price, throughout the year, to Israelis buying flight tickets through El Al offices for direct flights to Israel, from destinations with direct routes to Israel.

Those interested in buying El Al tickets for their return to Israel from North America (US and Canada) can contact the toll free number 1-800--223-6700, 24 hours a day.

On flights from the U.S., any passenger over two years of age, who is a returning resident, is entitled to bring along an additional suitcase weighing 23 kilograms (a total of three suitcases weighting 23 kilograms each).

From any other location in the world, any passenger over two years of age, who is a returning resident, is entitled to bring an additional 35 kilograms above the permitted weight (a total of 55 kilograms).

Special authorization for the benefit. To receive confirmation to utilize this benefit, register here on this website. Those eligible for returning resident status will be sent a special confirmation for utilizing the benefit.
 
To utilize the benefit, send the confirmation by email to the El Al office nearest your home (see list). If several email addresses appear for the same destination in the list, send the confirmation to all of the addresses.

Actualization of the benefit is the responsibility of El Al Airlines, subject to the availability of seats.

The tickets must be bought directly at El Al offices, and not through an agent.
