Assured Income

Assured Income Grant

The Assured Income Grant is given to employment seekers that report to the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption or to the Employment Service.

Assured Income eligibility is for up to 3 months of the first year from the date of return to Israel.

Both spouses must report.

Proper certification is to be provided should one spouse be exempt from reporting.

If one spouse has employment, the family is not eligible for the Assured Income Grant. A salaried spouse that earns lower than minimum wage can approach the National Insurance Institute for possible supplementary income eligibility.

If one spouse returns to Israel earlier than the other, that spouse will not receive Assured Income, unless proof is provided that the spouse remaining abroad is unable to support the family.

As proof, the returned spouse can provide an Israeli court affidavit in which declaration is made of not being supported by the spouse abroad. A document proving consent of the spouse abroad to the children being brought to Israel must be provided in addition.

To benefit from a full month payment reporting should being at the start of the month. Reporting for part of the month will be given payment proportionally. A partial month will be considered as one of the 3 entitled months.

Payment is transferred directly to a bank account; therefore a bank account should be opened immediately.

The Ministry of Absorption assistance is subject to certification of non application for Assured Income from the National Insurance Institute
