The Knesset unanimously approved, in its second and third hearing, an unprecedented widespread tax reform, which grants benefits and tax breaks to new Olim and returning residents who arrived in Israel since January 1, 2007. The reform was initiated by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Tax Authority of the Ministry of Finance.
