*According to National Insurance Institute guidelines, a retiree is defined as a man of 65 years of age, and a woman of 60 years of age.
** Note: A person who is eligible for the Absorption Basket, and will also meet the criteria for a National Insurance special old- age pension within 44 months of receiving new immigrant status, may be eligible for an enlarged supplementary grant in the following amounts:


 Family or couple - 9,716

 Single parent family - 8,167

 Single - 5,252
