The Voucher Project for New Immigrants / Returning Citizens in Employment, Entrepreneurship and Business Information Center
The "Voucher Project" is designed to facilitate and simplify employment absorption processes for new immigrants.
The purpose of the project is to expand the range of choices available to eligible candidates regarding their professional placement in the job market and to allow them to maximize their skills based on their education, experience and abilities.
Target Populations for Assistance in the Voucher Project
Immigrants who are unemployed.
Immigrants who require refreshers and training in order to advance in their jobs (written recommendation of the employer).
Who is eligible?
A new immigrant/ immigrant citizen / returning minor / child of an immigrant up to 5 years in Israel, who has mastery of level 'aleph' Hebrew in an Ulpan (and who was at least 17 years of age when he made aliyah).
A returning citizen during the period of eligibility up to two years from the date of his return to Israel (with the exception of professions that require an Israeli license).
Purpose of the Assistance
To consider assistance for training that is in demand in the job market and that are not available in other government ministries.
Terms for Receiving Assistance
Individual contact of eligible candidate to absorption counselor in regional bureau in order to create an individualized employment program before any obligation or payment is made to any training institutions.
Information may be obtained from the employment counselors at Ministry of Immigrant Absorption bureaus.
