Purchasing an Apartment in the Private Market

The period of eligibility for assistance in purchasing an apartment is 10 years from the date of aliyah.

Immigrants who are still within their period of eligibility receive a guaranteed loan from the government via the mortgage banks.

The sum of the mortgage is determined based on the level of points to which the candidate is eligible based on the following:

Immigrant families in their first year since aliyah receive assistance based on an automatic point level of 1700 points.

Immigrant families who have been living in Israel for over a year receive assistance based on an automatic point of 1800.

In addition, immigrants will be entitled to additional assistance, in addition to the aforementioned level of assistance if their points exceed the aforementioned automatic point level (based on their data).

Single immigrants 21 years of age or older are entitled to guaranteed loans on an automatic point level of 600 and are entitled to additional pints based on their status (if it is over 600 points).
Single immigrants who are over the age of 45 will receive an additional 450 points. Total points for an individual will not in any case exceed 1600 points.

An immigrant + a veteran will accumulate points based on how many years the immigrant has been in Israel and the number of children, as well as a fixed eligibility of 700 points. If the immigrant is over the age of 45, an additional 400 points will be granted.

Disabled immigrants will be entitled to an automatic point addition based on the percentage and type of disability. For additional information, please contact the mortgage banks or rental assistance companies.

Single-parent families will be entitled to an automatic addition of points that changes based on the number of years in Israel and on how many years they have been single parents. For additional information, please contact the mortgage banks or rental assistance companies.

Immigrants are given the option of purchasing an apartment with immediate relatives. Immigrants who choose this option will be entitled to 80% of the total mortgage based on their points.

Immigrants who served in the IDF regular service or in National Service will be given additional assistance based on the number of months of service.

The sum of the mortgage will not exceed 95% of the price of the apartment.
